I had a dream ...
And we've been together for almost a year!
Together ... we made it even better than I dreamed!
WHY DID I WANT TO DO THIS?
Well ... After spending over $100k on graduate school, another $50k studying with masters ...
After owning and operating inpatient/outpatient treatment centers ...
After developing a comprehensive trauma healing program ...
That’s when I took notice.
Of what?
That there was and is a huge gap in the number of people equipped and available to help others who have experienced trauma with personal transformation.
And the hundreds of thousands of those who are suffering with the devastating results of trauma.
I saw people wanting to serve and help others. But they lacked confidence from the lack of training to do so.
Even some who were already Coaches, but not confidently skilled in trauma work.
I watched with heavy sadness as I saw people with a heart to heal others heal shy away from what they truly desired to do.
I recall them hoping to find...
A way.
A place.
A community.
Where they could get training, consultation, networking, and support to help and serve others.
I found myself wondering, “Why are more people not doing this? Because there is a way. There is a plan. There is a place ... I’ve created it!”
I thought, “Maybe we just need a place to come together. There must be a reason why they’re backing away from their dream, from their cause to help others heal.”
Although I don’t know the answer to those questions. I have a few guesses.
People had searched but could not find a place like this. I certainly didn’t find one when I needed it. And I did a thorough search!
Then they’re left in stall mode wondering...
“Can I REALLY learn the skills to help people heal from trauma?”
“Doesn’t it take a long time...AND a degree?!”
“Don’t I need to heal everything about me first?”
This left them feeling uncertain, directionless, and overwhelmed. Only to push pause in the pursuit of their passion and settle again into never-knowing-land.
People don’t know who to turn to or where to get the support, direction, and information to help others heal. If they did find someone or some place, they ‘have this feeling’ it would be out of their price range.
So, they stop searching for the place that would save them time and money and angst.
Humbly and gratefully, I felt the call to do that. So I stepped up ... because it was time.
I didn’t plan to be the one.
I’m simply the one that the call fell to and on.
With great excitement, and a willingness to share my years of expertise, methods, and insights that bring healing and transformation ... I created the C-SPA!
People don’t know ‘why’ it matters. So, they just leave it to the ‘experts’ (whoever they are) and give up their dream to serve and help others heal.
They become content to listen to their inward ‘what if’s’ on loop and leave it for someone else to do.
Or they just decide to say a prayer for all those people suffering and leave their call, their dream in the dust of regret.
Which leaves them woefully unprepared to experience the fulfillment they long for. Therefore, they never reach the people who desperately need them.
And so... In January 2024, I launched the C-SPA (Coaches' Summit for Partnership & Accountability) ... a first of its kind community of servant-healers!
